What can you find in this year's edition?

Our foreword is written by Chris Andrew, rugby coach and Archbishops' Evangelist. With the Men's Rugby World Cup coming to Australia in 2027 - watched by more than a billion people - Chris reflects on what lies beneath the roar of the crowd: the deeper questions of identity, purpose and belonging that every human heart carries, and how they're answered in Christ.

Through 2027, our writers take you into:

Wonder and amazement - Delighting in who God is and what he has done

Beyond hunan - Including a week on artificial intelligence, and what it means to be made in God's image in an age of AI

Deceit and truth - Two weeks that wrestle honestly with what it means to trust and to be trustworthy

Crowned heads : kings, queens and emperors - Power, authority and what it means to serve, drawn from across the Old and New Testaments

Everyday life with God - Weeks on weddings, business and commerce, play, dinner parties, and fresh water — finding God in the ordinary rhythms of life

Selected weeks spotlight the books of Job, Proverbs, Numbers, Ezra and Galatians from the Old and New Testaments, along with 1–3 John.

Our central Gospel for the year is Mark - followed across four sections through the year, from the calling of the first disciples to the passion and resurrection.

Edited by David Painting, an engineer by background who now serves as an author, YWAM teacher, pastor and theological adviser - bringing together over nearly 50 writers from around the world for another year of Fresh from The Word.
